Retention Rates

The freshman retention rate on the Twin Cities campus reached an all-time high this year of 90.6 percent, as compared with 88.5 percent in fall 2008. This means that 90.6 percent of last year's freshmen returned this fall. This continues a substantial upward trend over the last four years, as illustrated in this first year retention graph.

The quality of the incoming freshman class at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities continues to improve, as illustrated in the following graphs of enrollment data from 2003-2009:
