Celebrate student research by encouraging your graduate, professional, and undergraduate students to participate in the Student Scholar Showcase, an exhibition of undergraduate and graduate student research, art, and design. This event, held in TCF Bank Stadium in concert with Public Engagement Day, will attract an audience of local colleges, high schools, corporations, and non-profits, and will serve the dual purposes of showcasing student work and providing recruitment opportunities. University faculty and staff, as well as families of presenters, also will be invited to attend this event. 2008-2009 University graduates are encouraged to participate as well.

The purpose of the Showcase is to:

  • honor and celebrate research, art, and design endeavors of our undergraduate and graduate and professional students
  • showcase the types of research, art, and design activities in which students participate
  • encourage students to consider future research, art, and design in their career fields
  • provide all University students the experience of developing and presenting a research poster or art/design exhibit
  • demonstrate to prospective students the kinds of scholarly work students can do
  • network with peers, University students, and the larger community
  • meet corporate representatives to discuss future careers and scholarship opportunities
