The Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs fosters a culture at the university that welcomes, encourages, supports, and sustains a diverse faculty as they achieve excellence in scholarship, teaching, service, and public engagements. The office is a national and international leader in the study of the faculty life course and the creation and delivery of innovative faculty initiatives.
Major areas of the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs include: faculty development, faculty leaves and sabbaticals, New Faculty Orientation, promotion and tenure, the Scholars Walk, student rating of teaching (SRT), faculty recruiting, and the Women’s Faculty Cabinet.
