on the potential creation of a new college
devoted to agriculture, natural resources, environmental and life sciences.
Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Karen Hanson convened a faculty/staff task force in fall 2013 to examine the potential creation of a new college for the U of M Twin Cities. The college would integrate faculty and staff principally from the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) and the College of Biological Sciences (CBS).
The task force was charged with examining the idea of a new college, from varied perspectives and with no foregone conclusions, including a vigorous process of consultation with internal and external stakeholders. The task force completed its work at the end of January.
