Faculty Awards

Some of the faculty award programs included in this measure are:  American Council of Learned Societies; Fulbright; Guggenheim; MacArthur Foundation; National Endowment for the Humanities; National Institutes of Health; Newberry Library; Pew Charitable Trusts; Robert Wood Johnson Foundation; Sloan Foundation; and Woodrow Wilson Fellows.

A 50 percent decline in the number of these prestigious awards to faculty in the arts, humanities, sciences, engineering, and health over the past five years has resulted in the University's precipitous decline in the rankings.
